Find and Mark Hidden Recessed Lighting Fixtures With No Measuring

Great for first-time DIYs or the experienced handyperson, the Center Mark recessed lighting fixture locator uses powerful rare-earth magnets to help you accurately locate can-light fixtures for easy and accurate cutting of the holes in the sheetrock with no measuring required. The Center Mark can be used with traditional screw-in bulb cans to cut out 4", 5", and 6" recessed light fixture openings. This tool is not intended for recessed LED light fixtures. It eliminates costly measuring errors, keeps wasted drywall sheets out of landfills and improves your productivity.

No more lifting and lowering heavy drywall sheets multiple times. In three easy steps you'll be done: Just screw the Center Mark Targets into your recessed can light fixture, install the drywall, locate the target and cut the hole in the sheetrock.

Excellent little tool for recessed lighting hole locating. Simple to use and dummy-proof. I use a Roto-zip, but occasionally get off the mark when I run into a joist or other obstacle. With this tool, you know where your cut should be. Only improvement would be to include a compass and/or a center hole in the locator (you can drill your own). You screw the inside piece into the light socket - it slides up or down to contact the drywall. The outside piece snaps right into place once you get close to where the fixture is. Then you use a compass or template to mark the cutout. Very easy and extremely accurate.

This product worked excellent. I found it worked best if you cut the center out first so you can see the side of the fixture and then just work your way around you will end up with perfect holes every time. Loved it.

Well worth the money, makes the job easier 5 out of 5.0

I had to sheet rock a 20x30' ceiling all by myself with the help of a lift. I had 11 recessed lights to cut out. This really made my life easier, and it was worth buying them for this single job.
