I've been a professional woodworker for about 15 years (started late in life) and am sure I have never cut an angle on my tablesaw, bandsaw, miter saw to with-in +/- 0.2 degrees in my life ... until now. I was given the AccuMaster by a fellow woodworker about 4 months ago and have become stupid setting up my equipment to obsession. So much so that I have worn out your original batteries. Other than my OCD with my new toy one couldn't ask for easier setups.

Great little level with unlimited applications! I've used it to level pictures (drives the wife nuts!) check the slope of roofs, hang conduit level (the magnet is great!), Level machinery, and a lot more, and I've only had it 7 weeks! NO regrets, thanks, guys!

My new Go-to for sure! 5 out of 5.0

I'm an owner of the Wixey angle gauge (the competition) and I've always loved it, except for the well-documented battery issues. Until I got this unit, I'd use the Wixey every time I needed to set and angle. Now that I have this, the Wixey is getting eBayed.

This little guy from Calculated Industries takes all that is good from the Wixey, and then makes it better. Here's what makes it my new go-to when I need to set my angles on my table saw and my chop saw:

1. It uses standard-sized AAA batteries. Thank you! Now, even if the batteries do die, they'll be right there in my battery drawer.
2. The backlight stays on. This is another little thing that really makes a big difference.
3. The display flips when it's inverted. This makes it that much easier to read and adds to the over all user-friendliness.

Ultimately, if I were shopping for one now, this would be it just because of the battery alone. Such a great tool!

Digital Angle Guage 5 out of 5.0

I tested this tool with other digital gauges and levels; it is dead-on accurate. I mainly use it to set tablesaw and mitersaw to exact bevel angles. Calibration is a snap and I like that it uses standard batteries, but the battery indicator is only visible for a second when the unit is turned on. This tool also works great for leveling appliances.

After owning this little unit for a few weeks I can confidently say it is a must have. I own much more expensive protractors and levels, but this angle guage picks up the slack where they lack. The zero out function is genius and necessary for onsite set-ups of your saws, and quick assurance of your shop saws. Although I received the gauge free of charge for my honest review of this product, I think it WELL WORTH the affordable price tag. Just be sure to tie a ribbon to the little black case, it's easy to misplace in a dim lit shop!

7434 AccuMASTER Digital Angle Guage 5 out of 5.0

CI provided me with the 7434 AccuMASTER Digital Angle Gauge for beta testing free of charge in exchange for an honest unbiased review.
I am a professional handyman and avid woodworker. I honestly was not aware that a tool such as this existed. It easily trumped my "old" way of testing angles on my mitre and table saws. I took it to a meeting of my woodworkers' club and there it became obvious the digital concept of measuring angles has been available for some time. Although many didn't know it existed.
The back lighting and large numbers stand out as key differences to other models. Interestingly one of the club members shared an idea of making a hinge type angle cutting sled for the table saw allowing for a variety of angles set accurately with the AccuMASTER, brilliant!
I've not had the unit long enough to evaluate battery life but ideally they'll last a long time and not be dead when I need the tool.
The back light staying on when in use is vital. When working in tight hard to see corners its helpful not only to have the back light but to have it stay on, and to be able to press hold and move it to verify the reading.
As I use the AccuMASTER more I realize the many times I could have used the tool in the past and see how it will become a fall-back tool in the future.

I received this gauge from CI free to test and rate.

After using it on both my mitre and table saws for set up, I found other things to do with it as well.

It can check for level or give you an angle measurement.

My wife had me check some wall hung frames for level. Very easy with a bright readout.

Magnetic case was handy on the saws.

Overall, in the short time I have had the 7434, I can see many uses for this in a tech toolbox.

After trying and working with the Model 7434 AccuMaster Digital Angle Gauge from Calculated Industries I found it to be very useful while finishing our last model home and for building our current model home. It really helped squaring up our table saw. Made it a breeze to get the blade square with the table. Used it on the miter saw also. No more guessing if the blade is square. Now we get sharp and accurate cuts on casing, base and crown. It worked great for installing post and spindles on the deck handrail and was also helpful for plumbing up interior walls. I taped it to an aluminum straight edge in order to make it work, but it did the job. Also used it to plumb and level windows. There, although somewhat cumbersome, I also found it helpful to use a straight edge on the larger windows. All in all it is a compact tool that can be used for multiple applications. The pouch it comes with easily fits on my belt and the tool is easy to handle and operate. After only a few days of use, this is what I have found it useful for. I expect that after using it for a longer period of time I will find many more uses for it.

Compact, easy to read and operate. Tried it on several surfaces. The magnetic bottom is great, but might need a warning on the device to keep away from computers, software, and credit cards. Seem water tight. Nice carrying case. Instructions are clear.

Good product with many uses 4 out of 5.0

Received this product free for a beta test. Used the product to adjust my miters for casing and crown. I used a square before and this product made it easy to adjust. I also used it to set a countertop. I usually use a set of levels and I could get it perfect using both. Another simple use is setting appliances. Washer and dryer. So many uses still to come. I haven't had it long enough to know how the battery life is, but that has been a problem in the past with similar products.

Comments: The Accumaster7434 digital angle gauge that I reviewed for a free test run was great. I put the Accumaster thru all the steps in the userís guide and it worked fine. Spent the day using it in the shop on the table and bandsaw. Would have liked to do a side test with my Wixey gauge but the batteries were dead. I liked the gauge bar that shows on screen when you hit the zero mark. The hold button is a nice feature to have when you canít see in hard to reach places. Took it to a very low light room where we are putting in cabinets, and the back light was a big help. I love it as a serious DIY woodworker . This Accumaster will get lots of work from my tool bag.

Not my Grandfathers protractor! 5 out of 5.0

As a ole timer in the woodworking industry (my qualifications below). I know how prudent it is to maintain accuracy. This is not only in set ups but in machine calibration. This compact device is loaded with digital features to do so wit its latest most modern MEM technology.

This Magnetic Digital Level and Angle Finder / Inclinometer differs from several the others I have. First I like the brighter back light and large numbers. The back light stays lit for as long as you are using and auto shut off after 3 minutes when it detects no movement. It has an incline line on the display that tells you the direction of level. When it goes over 90 degrees the display rotates. One of the feature through MEMs technology is longer battery life even in storage so its dependable and always there for you. Pressing hold keeps the reading after removal. 2 in 1 means use the inclinometer to check relative angles between surfaces, but also works as a compact true digital level. It has a magnetic base with two small feet to raise it above debris. Uniquely many of the others do not have these features in one.

In our old shop my great grandfather had to use practicable such as protractors, squares, dial indicators or fixed ridgid angles. These devices were good but still requires a lot of test runs to make sure you got the exact angle. That doesn't mean I don't test run after using this but it is usually right on the first time. Not only because the digital attributes are very accurate but because of it's compact size allows you to get in between items like saw teeth. Size 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 x 1-1/4 inches.

The mode button will scroll you through various types of readings such as degrees, percentage, inch to foot or mm to meter pitch.

When I set a machine being level is critical. But not always perfect. This is a work around. The process is simple zero out the device to your work base then set the degrees to your angle whatever it be to the cutter. This process applies to most any stationary power tooling in shops, such as table saws, chop saws, band saws, shapers, joiners, steel mill work, etc.. But it doesn't stop there.. Welding is done often in the air, and angles are easy. just zero on the first piece attach the second, find the angle, tack weld, check and finishl weld. Checking is easy because like with a square the weld won't get in the way.You can even set up lay out tools such as a sliding t bevel.

To use as a level all you need to do on the angle gauge simply switch between relative angle and absolute level using the mode key, Then you can read in degrees, percentage, inch to foot or mm. to meter pitch.

I am a 4th Generation professional wood worker. I consult to large plants and have purchased machinery for these plants. I now pick this one to set or check relative angles between surfaces for machine set up calibration. I have this for use in my own shop at my home where I do some prototype work before reporting to the factory. I am a top Amazon reviewer and am considered an expert in this field. You can see more on me at Act1woodcrafters. I received ONLY a free sample for evaluation and unbiased review - It's just my true assessment.. I am simply doing this review for you hoping I can pass on some worthwhile information to my fellow woodcrafters.
