Calculated Industries, a SkillsUSA national sponsor, is once again offering a scholarship competition for secondary, post-secondary and career and technical school students who are members of SkillsUSA.
Student Inventors who want to participate in the 2009 "Invented in the USA" scholarship competition are invited to submit an application that includes a design for a new hand-held specialty calculator that will be useful to at least one trade represented by SkillsUSA.
Applicants must be active members of a local SkillsUSA student chapter, and they must submit a design for a new SkillsUSA-trade-related hand-held calculator that will be useful to a trade represented by SkillsUSA.
The Calculated Industries Product Development team will award $1,000, $500 and $250 scholarships to the three top-rated ideas. $100 gift certificates at www.calculated.com will be given to places four through ten.
