|Scale Master Pro XE takes Error out of Manual Takeoffs||11/29/2017|
CARSON CITY, NV - Doing manual takeoffs from a plan or blueprint can take hours. The Scale Master Pro XE Advanced Digital Plan Measure for Blueprint Takeoffs enables a user to do the work faster and with greater accuracy.
The Scale Master can do things on-screen take off programs, digitizers, or other measurement wheels cannot do. It makes it easy to do linear, area and volume takeoffs with speed and confidence when estimating, bidding or planning.
It can connect to a PC with an optional interface cable and transfer rolled values directly into commonly used spreadsheets or estimating programs, saving time and reducing the potential for transcribing errors. The unit has 91 built-in scales. It has 50 scales in U.S. (feet-inch) and 41 scales in metric. The availability of scales helps measure plans, blueprints, and maps with versatility in architectural, engineering and civil/map scaling.
In addition, the Scale Master has ten custom scales for calibrating out-of-scale plans and plan books. This feature enables the user to roll or define any scale, even from plans that have been reduced, enlarged or is out of scale and save the new scale for future use.
"Getting it right when you measure from a set of plans is critical in the success of bringing plans into reality," said Steve Kennedy, President of Calculated Industries. "Whether you design, estimate or build; getting reliable measurements quickly can be the difference maker and that is what the Scale Master delivers."
The Auto count feature of the Scale Master automatically counts how many times a pre-set distance has been rolled helping with stud counts, columns, fence posts, outlets, fixtures or other regularly spaced items. This feature helps provide complete takeoffs quickly and accurately.
For items that do not have regular spacing, the Scale Master can count while rolling. While measuring, a push-button counter lets the user count items as it rolls. Users can also create permanent records of dimensions and values that are measured.
