|Calculated Industries Recognized With NAHB Student Chapters Distinguished Service Award at 2013 International Builders' Show||2/7/2013|
Washington, D.C., February, 2013 - Calculated Industries of Carson City, Nev., received the Distinguished Service Award during an awards ceremony for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Student Chapters program at the 2013 NAHB International Builders' Show (IBS) in Las Vegas.
The Distinguished Service Award honors a person or organization that shows exemplary service to NAHB Student Chapters and construction education. Calculated Industries, which manufactures and markets specialty calculators and digital measuring tools for the construction industry, has served NAHB Student Chapters and its Residential Construction Management Competition over the last eight years by donating more than $70,000 in Construction Master Calculators and Scale Master digital measuring tools.
"HBI and NAHB Student Chapters greatly appreciates the dedication of Calculated Industries to our students by providing them with tools that will help them become successful building industry management professionals," said John Courson, president and CEO, HBI, which administers the NAHB Student Chapters program for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
Jeff Spector, education account manager for Calculated Industries, explained that "Calculated Industries provides faculty and trainers with the tools they need to help their students develop the skills they need to have rewarding careers in a challenging workplace."
